Three games I got that people said where really good but I didn't like are:1. Zack and Wiki: Sure some of the puzzles were interesting but after a while it got incredibly boring and seemed like a huge chore.2: Super Paper Mario: For me, it was alright, I played through it. I guess I enjoyed it but for me I like games with a little more action, but I did like all the different settings and the small puzzles.3: Wario Ware: I liked this game, I had it for a while, but then I started to really dislike it and it became very pointless- I think it is overpriced. I sold it to a friend.I know all of these games were hard to develop and had a lot of time put into them but I enjoyed games like Need for Speed: Carbon (a decent PS2 port) a lot more and I still play that from time to time. What are some of the games you got that people seemed to raving about but didn't like?Games that people said were good but did ...
Mark me down for Super Paper Mario as well. The only great part of the game is the dialogue, but even that is a bit too much. The idea of merging 2D and 3D gameplay is interesting, but it doesn't turn out very well. Same with platforming and RPG elements; it's an interesting idea that falls kind of flat in this game. I feel like the game could be much better if it had been more focused on one genre - either a 2D platformer or a 3D RPG. Sure, we've seen both of those before, but they also worked before. Sometimes putting two great things together doesn't work too well. Like ranch dressing and Skittles... just doesn't work.Games that people said were good but did ...
Mark me up for the Z%26W one, I looked over the cover art that didn't appeal to me in the first place and unfortunately I never got over them. It was the same in the game as on the cover. The puzzles were also a 'do once; never want to do again' affair for me.
I still plan on playing SPM sometime. WarioWare I'm skipping simply because I can't stand Wario, Ever.
Fortunately most games I play were rated less than 'good' and I liked them a whole lot more. It think it stems from playing what I actually really think I'm interested in rather than playing what everyone else is.
Paper Mario was average.
medal of honor 2. metroid on the ds had waaaaaay better online and single player. controls were nice though
I would say that I've liked most games that I've played, but at the same time I don't think many of them are as great as people say. So, they're still good games, but I'm not as ''OMG'' as everyone else.
Did anyone find the controls for Zack and Wiki to be just okay? I don't understand why people say they are so good. They are very unresponsive.. The best controls IMO is in Metroid Prime 3. I always enjoy turning the switches and using the nunchuk to rip of shields it feels so good and intuitive!
Strikers.... it was ok just not as good as I hoped.

Yes I did. Especially levers that had 3 settings. Check out my full review and let me know what you think.

I just didn't know what some of the symbols of the wheel thing meant. But most of the switches and stuff are very delayed, I didn't like the feeling of that at all, Metroid felt much better.

[/QUOTE]well zack %26 wiki is one of my favorite games...Strikers was really easy or really not, there wasnt much inbetween. I got strikers mostly cause I wanted online play but online was just so dang laggy and when it wasnt it really just felt like I ws playing a bot.
I agree about Strikers. Bought it for the online mode, but so much lag it's not worth it. I didn't think the game was all that great anyway though, so no loss
Metroid 3 was god awful IMO.Of course I'm a huge FPS gamer on PC so I think I'm just spoiled

When you play a lot and you go online there are always challenges and for me there is a pretty even chance that I will lose or win so it's very fun.
SMG > Wow, I just don't get it... It's like Mario 64 all over again. BORING! :?On the Z%26W controls, I found them sometimes unresponsive my biggest problem with them was the anchor %26 the sword fights. And MP3s switch controls are not better, it took me a few minutes of screwing around the first time to open the damn doors. I would say that those part are equally unresponsive. The difference is in MP3 opening doors with the 3-action switches adds nothing to the game where as the motion control in Z%26W add to the game greatly.
Well on the Wii it would be WarioWare. Its dull in comparison to rayman raving rabbids. I thought Super Paper Mario was fun but it got a tad boring for me towards the end.
As for overall, my topic pick would be Halo .. but since were in the Wii board i guess WW:SM and SPM.
