I should've added, I've got the Nintendo Wifi USB Connector. Does that make a difference?

It does what it is supposed to do very well.

It definitely can. I can't get my DS on Wi-Fi (I have a wireless router) but I can with my Wii. So I am assuming that the Wii has a stronger signal.
The Wifi adapter works for the Wii and DS, I used to have one before we got a wireless router.
you should be able to get on if you can get on with the DS
