It would be nice if they made a new Clas ...

I may not be the only one but there are many things I dont like about the classic controller. Its not interchangeable with the GC controlled games on Wii and GC, it does not have rumble, it has the Wiimote dangling to the side, it has a weird peanut shape, and the buttons and analog could be placed better. I understand why they have it because its really cheap and is good for VC titles. But I hope they make another one that is geared for all GC games, all Wii games, and all VC games. It can be controlled via Bluetooth and recharged via USB cord. It should have all the buttons that the Classic controller has but moving the analogs diagonal. It would be interchanageable between all playable games on Wii GC VC. Of course rumble. It would have to be 50-60 bucks but well worth it for people like me who dont want a wired controller and want a rumble. It would be nice if they made a new Clas ...

It was white, and kind of looked like a PS2 controller. I haven't seen it at Gamestop yet. Your price of $50-$60 is not at all realistic. The controller would have to cost between $20 - $30. As for your complaints, yes, I agree with them, but I still enjoy the classic controller. I don't remember the name, but I'm sure you can find it in the gear section at IGN.
I found the information for you. http://gear.ign.com/articles/819/819888p1.htmlIs this something that you had in mind? From the comments on the page it looks like no one has seen it in stores yet. It could have been delayed or cancelled, but I think this is the kind of controller you wanted. September 13, 2007 - For all its innovation, there are a couple of annoying aspects to the Wii's controller arrangement, particularly the fact that the Classic Controller needs to be plugged into the Wiimote to work. It's not the end of the world, but having the heavy Wiimote dangling off the Classic Controller, or sitting in one's lap, or mounted underneath with Nyko's Classic Controller Grip (review) is definitely bothersome.

Thrustmaster is now on the scene to offer an alternative. In breaking news today, Thrustmaster has announced the T-Wireless NW gamepad for Wii, a fully wireless ****c Controller alternative. It will communicate with the Wii via a 2.4-GHz wireless dongle that plugs into the Wii's GameCube controller ports to provide 30-feet of wireless range.

The controller itself is housed in a Wii-themed chassis relatively similar in layout to previous Thrustmaster gamepads. The full compliment of buttons found on Nintendo's own ****c Controller will be available. Vibration feedback is supported. Thrustmaster also added Slow and Turbo buttons for a bit of spice. Thrustmaster is pricing the T-Wireless NW aggressively at $19.99, the same price as Nintendo's semi-wired ****c Controller. It'll be available in October.

Thrustmaster also chose today to premier a new 5-piece combo pack of Wii accessories targeted at holiday buyers new to the console. The T-Megapack NW will include a rubber-gripped steering wheel bracket, a set of the T-Protect NW controller skins (review), and a T-Charge NW (review) battery recharging controller organizer. The T-Megapack NW will also launch in October, priced at $34.99.
I agree with some of the things you mention but RUMBLE? C'mon man, it is a freaking ''CLASSIC'' controller. You are forgetting the point of that controller. If they added rumble why in the world would they call it a classic controller. Either way, Im buying this thing tomorrow. My only gripe will be it connected to the wii controller. It should have been independent in nature.

[/QUOTE]I was about to post that information on that controller but I see you beat me to it. The Thrustmaster is basically a wireless $20 GameCube controller so it won't work with Geometry Wars: Galaxies since that game doesn't support GameCube controllers. I don't know if the Thrustmaster is any good I haven't used it but it at least looks like a solid clas$ic controller and Game Cube Controller alternative.
Yes I have seen that controller and it is very nice but I am talking about nintendo grade with bluetooth and rechargeable batteries and a guarantee that all games are compatible with it. I am not sure if it is compatible with both GC and Wii games. If Nintendo does not come out with a new one I will be getting this. Thnx for the info.
