First person alien shooting automatically makes it a FPS?

Did I say that? No. I clearly stated that TP isn't similar to Prime 3 as it features a hella lot of First person alien shooting, which is the exact opposite of Twilight Princess.
I guess they are about as close as a FPS and a third person adventure can get. But no, I would not say they are too similar.
its not similar at allits like saying mushrooms taste like chocalate,
its not similar at allits like saying mushrooms taste like chocalate,
if u put chocolate on them they do
i think that the two are very different actually..
They are very different, however there are some similarities. For example the exploration, the puzzle-solving, the maps. The formula is very similar - go in to the area using your map, collect items, perform certain tasks, and then defeat the main boss of the stage. But although they may have some similarities in their style, they are not too much alike. One is a science fiction FPS/adventure game while the other is a third-person/middle ages type of game.
what are you smoking? it must be pretty good if you think TP and MP3 are similar.blasters and aliens or... running around with a sword (not even close to a blaster) killing monsters (not aliens) and beyblade (that weird spinner thing)
If you are the fact that you go into an area, use your map, collect items, do certain tasks, and kill a boss as the reasoning why they are similar, then you might as well say that 95 percent of games are similar.
the only way they are similar is that they are both great games, or else they are very different from one another
I can see some similarities. You gain new weapons/power ups that help you progress through previously unexplored parts of the game. You fight bosses that each require a unique way of destroying them. Your health can increase. You will have to rely on your map to get past certain areas and they are both epic in scope. But, on the other hand, there are a ton of games that follow this formula.
the reson im saying thier simaler is because of the puzzels, and that you have to have a certain item to get farther in the game.
They felt distinctly different to me.
How are they even close to being similar??? The platforming/puzzle elements?
