Probably a dumb question regarding the W ...

I know very little believe it or not, about HDTV. I have been using a regular TV my entire life, and I've finally decided to jump into the flat screen world. I have read that the Wii is not capable of high resolution images like the other two systems of this generation, but my question is more along the lines of: Is there a visual improvement for the Wii games in getting a HDTV 720p?I'm simply just looking for an improvement of an HDTV versus using the old, FAT tvs of yesterday. Probably a dumb question regarding the W ...
You'll see a better overall picture but the graphics will be rougher for some games, as in actually looking roughThe Wii outputs at 480p max so make sure you get the component cables so that you're able to take advantage of that. Not only will it look better but many sets will suffer some sort of lag without the cables.Probably a dumb question regarding the W ...
I thought my Wii looked better on my SDTV than my 720p hdtv, but it still looks fine. More jaggies are exposed.
The Wii has a maximum output of 480p. A standard definition television has a maximum output of 480i. A 720p HDTV will output the Wii at 480p if you have component cables, which will look quite a bit better than composite on a SDTV.
