I've never played the old Harvest Moon. I suppose it would be boring after playing the newer ones first.
I have seen those Harvest Moon SNES cartridges go for over $100 on ebay. Doesn't mean its a great game just rare and hard to find.

Lords of Thunder is a shooter for the TG16 - I've heard its pretty good if your into shooters

Harvest Moon is a super-addictive game, but I still have NO idea how it survived after being released in 1996 (Natsume made shooters before this). It's really Dragon Warrior meets a daily schedule, and it's expensive because the fan-base go absolutely nuts over beating every iteneration of the series.
Harvest Moon 64 blows the original game out of the water, with upgradable tools, space for 10 animals (over 8) and a few interesting story arcs that change the town's population after year 1. I imagine it will also find its way onto VC. It's a great strategy game and it offers plenty of meta-game even after the time period ends.Lord of Thunder is another TG-CD shooter with near arcade-perfect visuals and sound. A steal at 800 points, just like its older brother Gates of Thunder.
