What's your favorite franchise? Zelda or ...

Over the recent decade or so there have been many great zelda games and many great mario games. A question i asked myself recently is, zelda or maior. zelda or mario. zelda or mario. So what i thought of the recent games that came out for both franchises, i say zelda is a little better then mario. i know mario is nintendo's icon, but it seems some mario games lately have been a little too cheesey or more fantasy, but back in the day, mario was just plain and simple. play the game. have fun. get some stars and coins and be happy. im not a party pooper for mario, im just sayin lately his games have been too odd like adding more and more to the franchise like superstar saga or some of the mario sports games. zelda on the other hand has been the same for years, not changed the location or style of game, just adding more weapons and characters. Zelda forever. Mario keep trying. galaxy was good, but not over super mario 64. comment your thoughts.What's your favorite franchise? Zelda or ...

MarioI mean he's still the king of his genre. Zelda games were passed a decade ago and have never been able to regain the crown.

I go with zelda, I've just always had more fun with that series.

I see potential for a Nintendo fanboy civil war (hopefull it won't happen).While Mario has tons of great games, I will never forget the feeling I had when I beat OOT or TP for the first time. Zelda wins it for me.

Hmm, this might seem unfair but I rather Mario, simply for the fact that I never got my hands on a Zelda game on any system (don't ask why, it just doesn't appeal to me x|)

I said Mario because he has had such amazing games in 2D and 3D and has a very solid RPG and Mario Kart series and the platformers are always like Super Mario Galaxy was.
It's obviously Zelda. There have just been more amazing games from that franchise.
