Why can't my Wii access my wireless rout ...

I've been trying for hours to get my Wii to read my new wireless router but it just won't. It'll detect the router but it won't fully tap into it and receive an internet connection. When I tried it on my PS3, it read the router and tapped into it on the first try. I've been doing this with my Wii for about almost 2 hours already. What gives here? Am I doing something wrong? The wii doesn't operate well behind a firewall. You've got to free up a whole lot of ports for the wii to work properly. Here's a link to open up certain ports so the wii can connect to the internet.
Add the Wii's MAC adress to your router?
Cjange channels, create a port for you wii.
My Wii works fine behind a firewall without any additional ports open. Does the Wii give you an error code when you try to connect? What type of router are you using?
does anyone know how i can get my wii to work with my wireless router? it only works when i unpluf my cordless phone. but thats a hassle. anyone know how i can overcome this prblem
Are you sure you have the right router for the wii?
Change the channel to 1 or 11. It will fix the problem.
